My Place in Our Tiny World
Josiah, Lead RBT
Josiah is one of Bethanie’s Lead Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) at Expressions Behavioral Healthcare. Josiah received his Bachelor’s Degree at Rockhurst University. Josiah has two kids, 5 years old and a 3-year-old, and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in ABA. He loves music, art, the Kansas City Chiefs, and reading.
Ever since childhood, Josiah had wanted a chance to help people in a career and in 2018, Josiah got a job as an Intensive Needs Para in Blue Valley School District while finishing college, and fell in love with the field. After graduating, Josiah became an RBT and moved to Lawrence, Kansas, to take a job as a Lead RBT at the early childhood and ABA training site at KU. Here, Josiah learned what ABA was all about, being exposed to and learning from the clinical staff at the University and participating in the training of undergraduate students.
Josiah moved back into the KC metro after the birth of his first child and worked in various roles within ABA, such as in-home therapy and in-school therapy. Eventually, Josiah made his way to Expressions and has found a deep appreciation for the culture of individualization, teamwork, and positivity. He loves the opportunity to cultivate a space of dignity, empowerment and fun for each client.
